1/100 [HG] Serpent Custom - Leg Modification

Start off with the extension of the ankle joint, to give the ankle more turning angle.

Next on the rear leg thruster. To enhance the flexibility of the ankle movment, the restriction part for the rear thruster is removed. Now the thruster got more angle movement.

The thigh portion. The joint cap was relocated to the outer part of the opening to increase the movement flexibility on the thigh area.

Close to the knee area. This portion of the knee cap structure need to be removed temporary to allow more bending angle of the leg. It will be installed back on the later stage.

Comparison of the modded leg with the original with different angle view.

WIP - 1/100 [HG] Serpent Custom

One challenging build for this old model. Seam lines all over and a rather unacceptable big shoulder design. Seem like some modification is unavoidable. Some out-of-the-box photos before I do some serious modding...

Plans: LED for the head unit, mod on that pairs of bulky legs and shoulders. Better joint movement on the shoulders and groin area. Redesign the bazooka and beam cannon.

Site under revamp, re-discover my passion

Yes! I am finally back for more cuts and thinner smell. Did a major revamp on my site and still working on it. My last WIP for Z-Gok was in total destruction, trying to salvage it with a new mood and concurrently working on 1/100 HG Serpent Custom.... well let this rusty engine of mine start roaring again...

Bye bye to my old blog layout..

Out of the topic!!!

No updates and no further updates will be coming soon from my current hobby....Out from the modelling community to post something different. I like to explore interesting videos/clips from the net. And that will be my excuse to keep this blog alive....

Take a look at this picture first and make a guess who draw it? Do not cheat yourself, the answer will be revealed on the clip attach.

My first 1/24 resin kit !!!

Can't resist the beauty of this kit. It's kind of different from other resin kit or in the making of all resin kit..i think this is the first time I see a mixture of technology and art!

The technology I'm refering are the

- motor system (new!)
-
- sensor system (new!)

- Led system

At the price of USD 238 you can grap this resin(unbuild). For those who had some knowledge of resin pricing, I believe this price is quite attractive and not to mention that it is bundle with the mechanical and electronic stuff as well. Have place my order and waiting patiently for its arrival.....Visit this website for more details: http://www.g-system-models.com/index+.html

The last pic of Z-Gok

How unfortunate to close this kit with this ending. I was so close of completing and consider 99% done when the glossy coat spoilt the whole thing. BIGGER PROBLEMS aroused when I want to rectify the problem ....

Due to the new semester commencement, I had to abort this modeling hobby again. Sad...

Back dating ...

Currently migrating from tengs.fotopic.net to this blog. Please feel free to criticize or comment on my modeling work. Basically I learnt all my modeling skills from modeling forum and by asking people who do modeling. I had started modeling since 2005 but only completed a few kits.... will pick up a proper modeling course when time permits. Right now for this blog, I will only put up the WIP pics for HGUC Z-Gok cause it will be very tedious for me to load up all WIP for other kits. I will just load up the completed part for the archives. Thanks for visiting my blog...

HGUC Z-Gok/WIP/LED Installation

- LED installation, Push Button Concept -
--
LED installing......my favourite part....for this portion there are a few areas that you need to take note. Implementing the 2 "S" : Size and Space....You need a "LED" of the size shown below and a push button that is small enough for you to accomplish what you intend.
--

- LED -

- glue the LED on the mono eye -

- the orange piece act as the push button -
--
- push button -

- push button location which is made out of placard
and brass rod -

- mod on the orange piece, the placard extension is
secured by very fine brassrod and superglued, a
hole is drilled on the placard so that it can be
secured, see later pic -

- the orange piece is secured by the brass rod, it
actually acts as a pivot for the push button -

- push button secured with super glue -

- cut out a plastic sheet from the CPU Fan box to make
a battery compartment -
--
- the final design of the battery compartment, a
tape is stick on the battery for removal purpose -
--

- Messy setup for the wiring, luckily there are all hidden -

- LED Testing -

- Mod done and ready for testing -

- Short clip on mod testing -

- Mod. on the mono eye position -

- My forum mate (Acguy4ever) had suggested maybe I should reposition the eye by the side to give it a fiercer look. Indeed it look better after the mod -

- Drill a hole by the side and covered the initial
hole by using placard and super glue -

- Mission accomplished! -
